PC to Mac the Conversion Journey
Confession of a PC User
Alright I have to say this right upfront. I used to work at Intel, so this means I am suppose to be a dyed in the wool PC user. Well over the last couple of years I have been seriously considering buying a Mac. I am close to the decision but I had the notion I would share my journey and my thought process as I come to my conclusions.
So this HubPage will be an evolving one because I will return and add an additional link to a HubPage where I review a key component, feature or software that I have evaluated in my voyage of discovery. So I invite you to join me in my closer look, ask questions, have passionate discussions and you might make a choice as well!
Price
Well this is an easy one to pick the winner. Right? PCs have traditional been less expensive and seem to continue. I have started to get a sense though that Mac has a lower total cost of ownership. Another is the iPad and it is creating a new wrinkle in all of this. The PC versions of the iPad have been more expensive, go figure.
One thing though I do not make hasty decision solely on price. I come from a total value perspective and look at quality, durability and usability.
So for now, purely based on cost the PC wins over the Mac. Do you Agree?
